OK, I'm back. Prepare for a rant.
Yesterday I saw a bumper sticker that said "One Day At A Time". I mean, really, how dumb is that? For one thing, the guy who made that up was probably some drunk sophmore. One day at a time? It's dying to be profound but it lacks the vitals of a profound statement.
For another thing, if perchance it had some deep meaning personally for some person, why would he paste it to his vehicle? To tell people that he is taking it one day at a time, or to remind people to take it one day at a time? Maybe if you're lost in the Amazon trying to get enough food to live and not get eaten by wild animals or some disease (like malasia) then it would apply. But if you're taking exams that you have to
study in advance for, then it gets a little more complicated.
Lastly, I hate bumper stickers, and that is all there is to it. To me, they all say the same thing. Maybe the letters form into diffrent words, like "Best Grandpa ever" or "Get in, hold on, and shut up", but to me they all say
I have no hope of ever leading a meaningful life, so in order to make up for it I have to adorn my car with cheap multicoloured clichés . Please shoot me.
