Medal of Honour Update
With the first 3 levels under my belt, I think I'm ready for an evaluation.
I'm most impressed with the realistic gameplay. When I played the first level, it took me about three tries before I realized that this is not Wolfenstein. While the weapons and scenery are a lot alike - a
lot alike - they are quite diffrent in that Medal of honour isn't the super-weapon zombie-fighting freakfest that we've all come to know and love in Wolfenstein. For instance, you have to be alert to the fighters and bombers overhead when you're in the open; get too lax and you'll find yourself either in very low health or dead, and back at the beginning of the level, as oppsed to the kill, kill, kill, who-really-gives-a-crap-about-what-is-happening-around-you Wolfensein fighting. One frustrating thing is that you can't save it midway between levels, nor are there checkpoints that save your progress, and some levels are rather long. I expect it only gets worse. More later.
