Ignoring the result of my last post on gaming, I will now indulge myself once again...
I got Morrowind yesterday! I didn't get to play it that much, for reasons that I will not go into right now, but suffice to say you won't see me around here as much in the next few weeks. It totally rocks, for an RPG. Actually it really reminded me of Myst in one way: the scenery and mood. OK, two ways, the scenery, mood, and quest. Three ways. The scenery, mood, quest, and... I'll come in again.
It really remind me of Myst in a lot of ways, including scenery, mood, and quest. And that its on an island. Oh, bugger.
In other news, I started Thin Red Line last night to find it immensely boring. This is a writer's perception of some of the script:
Army Dude #1: We *swear* have to take that next *swear* hill or the Japs will *swear* kill us all.
Army Dude #2: We've lost *swear* too many men!
Army Dude #1: *swear*! You're right!
Army Dude #2: Yeah, *swear* but I think I got a *swear* Jap!
Army Dude #1: Lets move up that *swear* hill, *swear* ok?
Army Dude #2: No! *swear* Too many *swear* Japs!
*scramble scramble*
*both dudes get shot*
*dave turns it off and plays morrowind*

Holy cow?
Hats for Clowns is the best song ever! As Hairy Lee would say, "Steal pies.... bring pies to me..." but no, what I meant was, of course, that you should all make Hats for Clowns your home pages. *eyes go all googley and readers respond in unison: "k"*

Return to Castle Wolfenstein is out for xbox? I mean
really! That is to say,

When I first started reading Tolkien's letters, I thought I was rather like him in some ways. But now I realize that what he was is what I've always wanted to become. He truly enjoyed life, I think that is why he was so great. He wrote because he loved to write. The fact that he was good at it and people loved it was just a bonus; his inspiration for writing came from his love of life.
Here's to Tolkien, and the love of life.

So yesterday I went and saw X2 with John. My reveiw of it is as follows:
Not a really great movie, not all I expected, though a lot like the first one. The preview for Matrix made it all worth it though; it looks like there are some new bad guys, as well as the old Mr. Smith, only... like... thousands of him. And the fight scenes look as awesome as the first, maybe better! *gasps all around*
You know, when I first heard that they were going to do a sequel to the Matrix I thought no way could they ever beat that one, because there is no awesome, mind-boggling surprise; you already know the truth, what else is there to do? But this is going to be a diffrent kind of movie I think; it'll have to be
because there is no mind-boggling surprise. Sort of a continuation, maybe. I guess we'll find out.
I'd also like to mention that I hit level 20 on
trogdor today.
