So, 4 posts in a row, nay, 5! on boggin and toques.
Pay homage! In Memory of Petey [Dave] Time:8:58 PM Friday, August 15, 2003
Ok, I like boggin now that I know boggin is also known as a toque. Although now I think about it toque is a fairly broad term. It baisically means any winter hat that covers your ears, I think. As opposed to boggin which seems to be made of nylon and is more of a specialized toque.

Okay, apparently some people don't know what a BOGGIN is. Maybe I should call it a stocking cap? Or something? I don't know. Oh oh, how about watchcap. That's what the army calls them. Or a tobogan, as most southerners call them (perhaps i should say bogan instead of boggin). I'm out of names for them.
Anyway, I was posting to gloat over the fact that in 3 days I am leaving for CANADA. Isn't that bizarre? Isn't that bizarre? i'm obsessed...talking is just masturbating without the mess In Memory of Petey [Steven] Time:12:21 PM Wednesday, August 13, 2003
I'm steve fuh fuh fuh I like boggin fuh fuh fuh
Also, I've been reading a lot of Earnest Hemmingay these days. He's a fabulous, conceited, descriptive, abrupt, sometimes horrific and disgusting writer, and I absolutely love it. His prose just blows me away. Maybe I'll have more to say later when I know what boggin is. In Memory of Petey [Dave] Time:5:35 PM
John is a dirty, dirty boy.
Anyway. I don't even remember what I was posting to say. Oh well. Let's see. Oh, yeah, I got a boggin from my grandmother yesterday, and i've been wearing it out. I went barefoot all day yesterday, all out in the pasture and everywhere in the rain. It was great. So...freeing. Anyway, that's about it. I just felt the urge to tell you all about this guy in England. He was like someone from a book. In fact, I'm seriously considering putting him into a book.
He was one of those fellahs that need a name like Aidan or Ian or even Bob. But more along the lines of Aidan or Ian. Anyway, he was the barkeep (see? he was awesome) at this little pub in this town in Devon. It was sort of a tourist town, but it was for English tourists. That is to say, it was like where old English people go when they cannot go abroad as they used to. It was lovely. Anyway, this guy was very charismatic. He had black, wavy/curly hair, and these wide, stark blue eyes. He was always bullstifling people, as well. There was this older black man and his wife there, their accents made me think they were from Africa, but they could have just been British black people. Anyway, the old man asked if he could have the crust removed on his bread, or else he had left the crust on his plate or something after he'd eaten his sandwich, and the barkeep went off at him. He was all, "No! You have you eat the crust here! You can't take it off. You'll have to leave if you do, sir." and then he started laughing. It was amazing. And he kept doing things like that. I don't remember what it was he said to me. He was amazing. convinced that his blood is blue..but it's red, red, red, yeah In Memory of Petey [Steven] Time:1:36 PM
So I saw Chasing Amy. It was on late late night TV and I was bored. At least I don't have a whiney excuse like, "Oh, I was at a friend's house and they made me watch it," or, "Satan took over my mind and made me want to watch movies about lesbians," or, "Well, I am Bob Saggett, after all..."
So the movie is baisically about a guy who falls in love with a lesbian. There, I said it! And I'll say it again! Haha! I watched a lesbian movie! Ahahahaha! It was really weird, to say the least, but through all the weirdness emerged some very funny parts. Like at the beginning, at this comic book festival, this guy is talking to the "inker" and they get into this argument about the diffrence between and inker and a tracer and they get all mad. It was great. And then another time they're sitting in the coffee shop, and talking about... but I digress. To sum up I liked the movie but it was very gross. Davee deserves a scooby-snack. Don't ask about that, though.
There's this old guy named Henry Kissinger and he's hillarious looking. He looks like a statue with slightly mobile facial muscles. Haha. Okay, back to the reason of my post. The more I listen to Naveed [album], the more I love it. At first it was all too loud and whatnot. But now that I really listen to it, it's just powerful. Songs like Supersatellite, Naveed, and The Birdman, and Starseed make me wish I was into heavy music. In fact, with OLP being the weird mix of heavy but somehow not heavy, I guess I am. Joy. i've read the bible, i've read dylan, and i'm reading now because it's much more chilling... In Memory of Petey [Steven] Time:11:16 AM |
