sorry for my almost-complete absence. getting a computer at the library near the house is not as easy as it would sound. However, I have some time on here so I'll catch you guys up.
To start, my brother has supposedly sent my computer, so i'll be back online as soon as i get it. Secondly, we're moving into the house next door.
Also, I haven't been reading much lately. I stopped reading most of those books I mentioned last time because I got sucked into the epic Shogun. I stopped after about 800 pages because i didn't want it to end. I haven't finished a book in some time.
I've started practicing the buddhist principles of Mindfulness. I know it sounds crazy, and I look the dweeb smiling so much, but I'm happier now than I've probably ever been. I go tomorrow to talk to the woman about cutting my hair, at long last.
Umm...that's about it.
I got Travis' new album, and it rocks out. Also, I've been listening to a proverbial shit load of The Strokes. Very good band from the City. One of my current favourites. I've been digging on OK Go again lately, as well as the new band Jet. To be australians, they rock out. There are two brothers [cousins? gay lovers?] with the last name of Cester, I forget all the other last names. So it's Bruce and Bruce Cester, and Bruce Something and another Bruce Something. They drink Foster's, no doubt.
Anyway, I have to get off here now. I got some 1977 Star Wars curtains that look new, and am doing my room Retro-Star-Wars.
Take care you guys, until next time.
And to all of you readers who've not been submitting 'backwash,' what is wrong with you people? Is a blog with only two people really all that boring? I mean, not that I'd make a difference, if one of the others were gone I'm sure it'd suck just as much, I guess with just two people it gets boring. Especially when those two people are the
Dycks.
you said "please don't make this harder..." no, i won't, yet

Matrix Revolutions. I have seen it. There were two boring fighting scenes. There were a few cheesy lines. The acting wasn't as good as the other ones. It was quite gory, compared to the other ones. And yet it still managed to 0wn j00. The Christ figure came out really strong, far stronger than the other ones, and that was kind of lame. It made me chuckle to myself, hoarsely. And at the end, almost the only people besides me in the entire theatre who stayed for the end credits, until the reel was shut off and we were prodded out, were the guy sitting directly beside me, and two guys sitting directly behind me. It just goes to show, you can't judge a book by its cover, but you can tell us nerds by where we sit in a movie theatre. We sort of congregate, if you know what I mean. It was close to the front, but not too close, and directly in the centre of the aisle, always the best seats.

Directly related to John's last post is
this. Concerning U2's upcoming album:
He (Bono) said: "We're nearly finished -- we're in the home straight. There's only one reason for U2 to put an album out right now -- it has to be a monster, a dragon, and this is."
Bono claimed the Edge's frustrations with his singer's non-musical activities had prompted the aggressive nature of much of the album.
"It's filled with big tunes and it's driven by a guitar player who is sick of the sight of me shaking hands with dodgy politicians. The anger is unbelievable," he said.

Not only does no one care about the merger (
except americans), but
Finding Nemo comes out today. Again, this wonderfully pertinent image displays itself:
